Claims Handler - Liability

Claims Handler - Liability Manchester

This is a great role for someone who wants to be part of an evolving Commercial Claims function and contribute to meaningful transformation. As a Technical Claims Consultant within the Commercial Liability Direct team, you will manage a portfolio of liability claims of up to £100k and play a key role in delivering fair outcomes, technical excellence, and continuous improvement in claims handling.

What you'll be doing: Managing a portfolio of Public, Employee, Disease and Product Liability claims within delegated authority (up to 100k) Leading detailed investigations, instructing external experts, and confirming indemnity positions through robust policy analysis Working closely with solicitors and counsel on liability assessment, litigation strategy and policy interpretation Negotiating fair, timely and commercially appropriate settlements while balancing legal and customer outcomes

What you'll need: Proven experience handling complex commercial liability claims Strong technical knowledge of common law, liability principles and insurance legislation Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills, with confidence influencing senior stakeholders
