Claims Intelligence Analyst – Sevenoaks
About the Role
You will be supporting the Counter Fraud team in the wider business, identifying and reviewing suspected fraudulent claims/policies using advanced fraud detection platforms. Your role involves reporting findings to counter fraud agencies and conducting detailed intelligence investigations to produce reports.
This highly analytical position requires strong disseminating skills, efficient handling of confidential data, and a commitment to regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraudulent claims/policies using fraud detection tools and platforms
- Generate intelligence-based reporting products to help reduce claim financial losses
- Offer intelligence-led support to general claims/policy teams
- Clearly communicate complex findings in written reports and presentations
- Continuously improve intelligence processes & output
- Manage highly confidential datasets with discretion
- Develop an understanding of MI Reports & fraud detection strategies within the company
- Assist in maintaining different data integrity standards
- Handle and respond to Schedule 2 requests (regulated policy/service requests)
- Ensure exposed fraud/coordination requests are reviewed and followed up appropriately
- Conduct detailed investigations into intelligence topics, collecting and documenting evidence as needed
- Cultivate professional relationships with intelligence suppliers, law enforcement agencies, and industry bodies
- Uphold regulatory standards (e.g., DPA, FCA, TCF) and companies processes
- Escalate findings to counter fraud agencies and provide necessary supporting evidence or witness statements

Requirements
Preferences & Desirables
- Minimum of 1 year in intelligence, fraud investigation, or counter fraud with strong expertise in electronic fraud detection software
- Experience in fraud detection tools, data analysis & intelligence-sharing software
Core Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of claims & underwriting best practices, particularly:
- Effective leakage control
- Risk management
- Quality assurance
- Training & compliance frameworks
- Strong ability to:
- Analyse complex data rapidly
- Deliver clear, concise advice based on findings
- Research actively and Holmesically through unconventional sources
- Curate social media & online trends for intelligence gathering
- Excellent time management and working-under-pressure ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail, with a logical approach to decision-making
Salary and Benefits
🏢 Job Type & Location
- Hybrid (with 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours/day, Mon-Fri 9:00am - 5:30pm)
- Location: Sevenoaks
💰 ** compensation package:**
- £28,748 - £35,500
- Up to an additional £1,500 annual performance bonus post probation
