We are looking for a highly experienced Product Owner to own and drive the delivery of claims product change across Ardonagh Specialty, translating claims operational needs and digital transformation objectives into a clear roadmap, prioritised backlog items, and business-value driven outcomes. The role acts as the bridge between Claims, Technology, Delivery, and Change teams to improve customer and colleague experiences, increase automation, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver measurable business value, as part of a large digital transformation programme.
What You Will Do
- Own and maintain the claims product vision, roadmap, and prioritised backlog for agreed claims digital initiatives, ensuring alignment to business value and programme governance.
- Identify opportunities to transform claims processes through automation, workflow optimisation, and emerging technologies.
- Translate business needs into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation, working with development, architecture, UX, and QA teams.
- Lead requirements discovery, workshops, and process reviews with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Support delivery of claims transformation initiatives including Claims Task Manager enhancements, claims operating model changes, and PAS / bordereaux processing improvements.
- Ensure solutions align with operational, regulatory, and control requirements.
- Use data, customer insight, and operational feedback to inform product decisions and measure success.
- Provide product support through build, test, UAT, and rollout, including defect triage, business clarifications, change communications, and training input.
- Maintain clear stakeholder communication, preparing concise updates, decision papers, SteerCo inputs, and product artefacts as required.

What You Will Bring
- Experience in product ownership, product management, or business analysis roles within insurance, ideally claims or London Market operations.
- Strong understanding of claims lifecycle processes.
- Working knowledge of London Market terminology and processes.
- Experience writing high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements for Agile delivery.
- Ability to run workshops, elicit requirements, and map processes.
- Comfortable working with technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools; experience with Azure DevOps/Jira, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and reporting tools desirable.
- Product Owner / Agile, Business Analysis, CII, or equivalent insurance qualifications desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communicator who can work with senior stakeholders, claims SMEs, developers, testers, and operational users.
- Structured, analytical, and solution-focused.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to challenge constructively and manage competing priorities.
- Commercially minded, with a focus on delivering tangible business value.
- Data-driven and comfortable making decisions using insight and evidence.
- Collaborative leader who builds strong relationships across business and technology teams.
- Confident facilitating workshops, presenting recommendations, and producing concise, clear materials.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving transformation environment with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.

- Submit your application with your CV, emphasising your skills and experience related to the job.
- Our Talent Acquisition team will then arrange a call where they can tell you more about the role and the team. We want to learn about your motivation and goals, what you can bring to Ardonagh Specialty, and answer any immediate questions.
- If successful, you will generally be invited to engage in a 1-hour interview with the Hiring Manager and selected team members, via Teams or in person. We will discuss our technologies, key skills, and team dynamics and provide further opportunity to ask any questions. This is your chance to voice your thoughts on the role, and we will outline our expectations and ensure this role aligns with your ambitions for the future.
- Depending on the role, you may be invited to attend a second-stage interview with further members of the team.
