We understand some people may not apply for jobs unless they feel they tick every box. If you’re excited about joining us and think you have some of what we’re looking for, even if you’re not 100% sure we would love to hear from you.

Role overview

We’re excited to bring a new role into our team as a Claims Technical Lead, where you’ll support the ongoing development of our Motor Bodily Injury function. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening the technical capability of our Claims teams and ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality outcomes for both our customers and our business.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technical excellence, thrives in a changing environment and is confident and experienced in working with and coaching/mentoring high-value bodily injury claims.

Please note – you must be willing to travel to our sites to deliver and/or facilitate training sessions for our colleagues.

Job details – you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in:

  • Collaborating with the Head of Large Loss to define and implement the technical strategy across the unit responsible for managing claims up to £250k
  • Leading the design and implementation of a structured development pathway that enhances the technical capability, confidence and progression of high value injury handlers across the department
  • Supporting colleagues through technical coaching and guidance, helping them build confidence and capability in handling complex bodily injury claims – serving as the primary technical referral point for senior handlers
  • Working closely with specialist, front line colleagues and leaders across to drive improvements in the way we assess, manage and resolve high value cases and seek out opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce indemnity spend and strengthen decision-making, using insights from audits and market developments
  • Monitoring and interpreting changes across the bodily injury landscape (including CPR, JCG, Consumer Duty, MOJ, OIC and the Intermediate Track) ensuring our teams understand and adapt to emerging requirements
  • Helping to shape our technical standards, quality controls and governance frameworks to make sure our bodily injury handling remains compliant, consistent and commercially strong

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
