Pro Insurance currently has a new opportunity for a Claims Technician to join our Legacy Claims Team, processing claims in supporting an existing client.

Pro operates a hybrid working model and the majority of this role will be working from home with travel to a local ELPL hub in Glasgow, Liverpool or Horsham on a weekly basis and other locations when required.

Purpose of Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Claims Technician will handle a caseload Employers Liability (“EL”)/Public Liability (“PL”) disease claims, to include, but not limited to, the following:

  • NIHL
  • HAVS
  • Pleural Plaques

Managing all diaries and post within the agreed SLAs

  • Liaising with solicitors and brokers
  • Developing effective business relationships internally and externally
  • Maintain accurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes
  • Identifying potential fraud
  • Proactively support the team in their achievements and overall business objectives
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to external clients
  • Oversight of PLF in respect of any litigated claims to ensure the case strategy is appropriate
  • Contribute to projects relevant to the sub vertical
  • Strengthen Client Relationships
  • Represent Pro in a Professional manner to both peer and potential marketplace acquaintances

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in NIHL is essential
  • Technical background relating to EL/PL claims is preferable however not essential. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate
  • Experience in other claims is a distinct advantage
  • Effective communication skills and key stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Adaptable to change
  • Strong relationship building skills and a professional and approachable manner
  • Ability to work towards SLAs with accuracy
