About Erith Palletforce Logistics

The Role
Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics. As a fully qualified Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers while ensuring safety and taking care of yourself on the road.
- Salary: £37,200 plus a £50 weekly bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information
- Occasionally driving Class 2 and 3.5t vehicles during peak periods
- Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle
- Driving a Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly
- Conducting daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
- Reporting any vehicle problems to the transport office in a timely manner
- Ensuring compliance with driving regulations, including:
- Safe operation within legal speed and rest limits
- Proper medication/driving assessment (alcohol, prescribed/over-the-counter medication)
- Arriving at work on time
- Providing excellent customer service
- Maintaining health and safety standards
- Completing and submitting all required paperwork
- Delivering goods to various locations

Our Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
- Current Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E)
- Valid CPC
- Digital Tacho Card
- HGV/LGC Class licence with 12+ months experience
Experience
- Essential: Previous vehicle experience
- Preferred: Refrigeration and multi-drop experience
Skills & Attributes
- Strong geographical and logistical knowledge
- Competed CPC Training Course
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to build strong working relationships
- Planning and organisation with adaptability
- Self-motivated and self-managed with a strong work ethic
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Friendly and helpful nature
