Job Description

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Week
  • Days of Work: Monday to Friday
  • Shift Pattern: 09:00 to 17:45

Core Responsibilities

This pivotal role is central to our nationwide transport network, focusing on the precise and efficient management of high-volume logistics operations.

  • The Route: Handle multi-drop collections and deliveries across your local area successfully achieving time sensitive deliveries and predetermined collection schedules
  • Service Excellence: Ensure strict adherence to time-critical scheduling requirements while upholding the company's standards for world-class service.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Maintain meticulous and accurate digital journey records, ensuring full compliance with all relevant digital tachograph and transport regulations.
  • Freight Management: Proactively participate in the safe and secure loading and unloading of trailers, ensuring freight integrity and security throughout transit.
  • Brand Representation: Act as a professional ambassador for the DPD brand, exhibiting a flexible, solution-oriented approach and maintaining a positive corporate image in all interactions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • The License: Valid UK Driving Licence with CE entitlement.
  • The Experience: At least 6 months recent experience operating LGV C+E vehicles.
  • The Essentials: A current UK CPC Card and a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • The Values: You’re reliable, safety-conscious, and align with our DPD DNA: Passion, Respect, and Accountability.
  • The Skills: Great interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, logistics-heavy environment.
