Class 1 Driver
Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a new challenge? Maybe you are a Newly Qualified Driver looking to kick start your career? Whatever the reason, we might have a role just for you!
Here at GXO Logistics Newark we are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team. You will be part of a crew that is with you every step of the journey, supporting you on the road and beyond.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, contracted to 48 hours per week. We are currently recruiting for the following shift patterns:
5 on 3 off, with start time windows of 04:00 to 08:00 5 on 3 off, with start time windows of 06:00 to 10:00 5 on 3 off, with start time windows of 08:00 to 12:00

What you will do on a typical day:
Deliver goods using single and double deck lorries to retail stores and customer premises nationwide, working efficiently to complete scheduled drops Complete 2 to 3 deliveries per day, transporting both palletised and free standing goods Safely unload goods upon arrival at each delivery destination with assistance provided for two-person lifts where required Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards No more than 6 current penalty points No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements Previous experience driving category C+E vehicles is desirable
