Class 1 Driver

Class 1 Driver – GXO (Iceland Foods – Livingston)

Do you have the skills, experience, and drive to make a real difference? Can you deliver groceries with a smile and help keep shelves stocked for communities across the region? Join us for a new £500 employee bonus when you start, paid in two instalments.

About the Role

We’re currently hiring Class 1 Drivers with flexible shift options to suit your lifestyle. You’ll join our team at Iceland Foods – Livingston, a supportive and dynamic workplace with flexible working hours. The role operates on a 50-hour contract per week, with rotates shifts including:

  • Sunday to Thursday (two Saturdays required per month)
  • Morning, afternoon, and night shifts

Pay & Onboarding Incentive

  • Annual salary: £44,200
  • Bank holidays/overtime rate: £24.28 per hour
  • Additional pay for shifts outside standard hours:
    • £1.80/hour (06:00–07:00)
    • £2.71/hour (18:00–22:00)
    • £3.36/hour (22:00–06:00)
  • New employee bonus: £500 (paid in two instalments)

What You’ll Do

A typical day includes:

  • Delivering multi-temperature goods to stores via multi-drop routes, handling cages and pallets safely
  • Assisting with loading/unloading, ensuring empty cages and pallets return to the site
  • Working independently and collaboratively to quickly resolve delivery issues
  • Providing excellent customer service and adhering to company policies/procedures

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your licence, with no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC, or TT endorsements
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations
