Class 1 Driver – Glasgow Depot

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1 driver to join the Stan Robinson team. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all transport regulations.
- Circa 50 hours per week
- Overtime rates paid after 40 hrs per week
- Nights out as required, which attracts an additional paid allowance
- No weekends
Newly qualified drivers are invited to apply.
Duties
- Multi drop deliveries to various locations
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, securing loads appropriately
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate documentation as required
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
- Communicate effectively with planners and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries

Qualifications
- Class 1 licence
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- A commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety on the road
- An ADR qualification would be an advantage, but not essential - Full training can be provided
