HGV Class 1 Driver
Have you spent years mastering the road and have experience you can bring to a busy transport operation? Would you like to join a transport team responsible for delivering thousands of products across the UK every week? Are you ready to take the wheel in your next permanent driving role?
Here at GXO Newark, we are looking for HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dedicated Currys transport team. Every day, you will play a vital role in keeping one of the UK's largest retailers stocked and moving, helping products reach stores and customers nationwide.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a ‘5 on 3 off’ pattern, with start time of 08:00 to 12:00, contracted to 48 hours per week.

What you will do on a typical day:
- Take the wheel of single and double deck vehicles, delivering products to retail stores across the UK, helping keep one of the nation's largest electrical retail supply chains moving
- Complete 2 to 3 deliveries per shift, transporting a mixture of palletised and free-standing goods while enjoying a varied day on the road
- Play a key role in ensuring products arrive safely, unloading goods at each destination with support provided for two-person lifts where required
- Represent the company with professionalism and pride, operating vehicles safely, legally and efficiently while maintaining accurate delivery and compliance records
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
- Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
- Previous experience driving category C+E vehicles is desirable
