Class 1 Driver – £18.00 per hour
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver to join their transport team on a full-time basis.
This role involves operating refrigerated trailers on a variety of routes across the UK. There may also be occasional loading and unloading duties at delivery locations.
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Class 1 vehicles with refrigerated trailers
- Completing deliveries and collections across the UK
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects or maintenance issues
- Completing delivery paperwork and driver records accurately
- Ensuring compliance with road transport regulations and company procedures
- Liaising with transport and warehouse teams regarding delivery schedules and any delays
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 2 years' HGV driving experience (required for insurance purposes)
- Refrigerated trailer experience is desirable but not essential
- Good understanding of driver regulations and road safety requirements
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and work well under pressure
