Job Role: HGV Driver
Reporting To: Transport Manager
Working Hours: Full-time, permanent position, Shift patterns include evenings, weekends and nights dependent on operational needs
Location: Rotherham NDC, S66 8PU
Job Purpose
To safely and efficiently deliver automotive parts and products to customers, branches, and distribution centres while maintaining high standards of customer service, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate HGV vehicles (Class 1) in accordance with all legal and company requirements.
- Complete deliveries and collections as scheduled.
- Ensure all goods are loaded, secured, and transported safely.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
- Comply with all DVSA, tachograph, and drivers’ hours regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation POD (Proof of Delivery) records.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers at all delivery points.
- Adhere to health & safety policies and safe systems of work at all times.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and present a professional company image.
- Report delays, incidents, or issues promptly to the Transport team.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of UK driving laws and compliance standards
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable
- Previous experience in multi-drop delivery.
- Experience within the automotive or parts distribution sector.
- Forklift licence (if applicable to site).
