Allied Mills is part of Associated British Foods and operates seven modern flour milling units across three product sites in Belfast, Manchester and Tilbury. They are a select group capable of producing semolina from Durum wheat in specialist mills. Allied Mills holds the title of UK’s third largest miller, supplying wheat products for diverse uses:
- Bread (including household staples like Kingsmill soft white bread, Kingsmill 50/50, Allinson’s)
- Baked goods: bagels, baguettes, biscuits, pasties, pastries, doughnuts, cookies, burger buns, naan bread, chapattis, noodles, and pasta

Role: Class 1 LGV Driver (Manchester: Trafford Park)
Company: Allied Mills Location: Trafford Park, Manchester Hours: 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern
Opportunity An LGV Driver (Class 1) opportunity to support Allied Mills’ flour deliveries, ensuring bulk and semolina distribution aligns with safety, efficiency, and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Adhere strictly to site quality standards, environmental policies, and mandatory health & safety protocols.
- Uphold company commitment to a Zero Harm / Safety First ethos.
- Operate all vehicles in compliance with current legislation.
- Safely unload bulk flour/semolina; follow prescribed SOPs.
- Daily checks & maintenance:
- Complete prescribed pre/post-treatment safety checks.
- Report vehicle issues promptly to the team.
- Assess delivery site risks dynamically to ensure safety for all parties. Report hazards.
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of cab/equipment.
- Fill out all required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Ensure customer service excellence; articulate Allied Mills’ strengths in person.
- Meet agreed delivery deadlines (“onsite and in-full”) without fail.
