Class 1 Driver
Location: Yeo Valley, Highbridge
Shift: 4on 4off, Nights

About The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will:
- Trunk packaging materials between production facilities and the central logistics hub, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
- Maintain regular communication with the transport office to provide updates on delivery progress and respond to any changes or issues in real time.
- Represent the company professionally at every delivery point, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with store teams.
- Participate in ongoing training and development, including refresher courses and updates on industry regulations, to keep your skills sharp and compliant.
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- You must hold a valid UK Class 1 CE licence, enabling you to operate articulated vehicles with confidence and professionalism.
- A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Previous experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, representing our brand with professionalism and care at every stop.
- You'll need to be comfortable working to tight schedules, managing your time effectively to ensure deliveries are made promptly and safely.
- A confident and polite communicator, you'll work closely with colleagues across transport and logistics, contributing to a supportive and efficient team environment.
- A good understanding of UK road network, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions, will help you navigate routes efficiently and avoid delays.

- Competitive Salary: £17.50 per hour, based on 11.25 hours per shift. PLUS for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.
- Shift Hours: 19:00hrs - 07:00hrs, working on a 4on 4off rota.
