Location: Shepton Mallet

Shift: Monday - Friday, Nights

About The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you'll play a key role in the smooth, efficient movement of palletised freight across our network. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a curtain-side trailer to trunk palletised goods from our Shepton Mallet depot to pallet-network hubs in the West Midlands, before reloading back to Shepton Mallet.
  • Providing internal trunking support where required, including accurately verifying freight against the manifest at each depot stop.
  • Taking advantage of opportunities to gain additional certifications, including LST (Longer Semi-Trailer) and ADR during your employment.
  • Ensuring all goods are safely loaded, secured, and protected, using straps, nets, and other appropriate securing equipment.
  • Completing daily vehicle safety checks.
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Transport Team.
  • Attending ongoing training and development sessions to stay up to date with industry standards and best practice.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • Valid DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
