Class 2 Driver
Senior Pharmaceutical Driver – Permanent (Refrigerated Van Delivery)

About the Role

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
- Shift start: 5am
Salary & Benefits
- £34,913 p/a (~£16.78/hour for weekdays)
- £25.17/hour (Saturday/Sunday & bank holidays, optional)
- London Allowance: £26/day (if applicable for Routes)
- Permanent position available
Key Responsibilities
- Package & Pallet Handling
- Manage scanning consignments to vehicles using appropriate tracking systems.
- Vehicle Preparation & Compliance
- Ensure safe and secure loading/unloading of refrigerated shipments.
- Maintain correct temperature levels for all deliveries.
- Conduct full vehicle checks (including HGV safety, refrigeration systems, and documentation).
- Keep cab and cargo chambers immaculate.
- Defect Reporting & Documentation
- Log all mechanical/logistical defects per policies.
- Complete EPOD/APOD, driver manifests, collections, and refusal despatches.
- Pharmaceutical Operations
- Deliver and collect sensitive healthcare consignments (GPs, hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers).
- Safety & Professionalism
- UK & IRL HGV driving compliance (all relevant regulations). Driver card must be downloaded post-shift.
- Exhibit error-free driving standards and ** présentant**.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service.

Specialist Requirements

- Licence & CPC
- Minimum Class C2 (or equivalent) with no more than 3 fault points.
- Driving Experience
- 2+ years handling refrigerated vehicles (including motorway experience).
- CPC qualification in-date (Professional Driver Training Completion).
- Soft Skills
- Proficient organisation & prioritisation.
- Independent initiative with strong team ethos.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in pharmaceutical deliveries.
Preferences
- Eager candidates with proven pharmaceutical experience are encouraged.
