Class 2 Driver

Class 2 Driver | Full-time | Erith – Palletforce Logistics

Palletforce Logistics is a leading pallet distribution company, dedicated to delivering efficient and reliable services to our clients. With a commitment to excellence and a supportive work environment, we’re looking for skilled Class 2 Drivers to join our team.


THE ROLE

As a fully qualified Class 2 Driver, you’ll play a vital role in delivering products to customers safely and efficiently. This role requires responsibility, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to health and safety – both for yourself and others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use a handheld terminal to record accurate delivery information
  • Occasionally operate 3.5t vehicles during peak periods
  • Maintain cleanliness of the working vehicle
  • Drive Class 2 vehicles safely and responsibly
  • Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
  • Inform the transport office promptly of any issues (e.g., delays)
  • Comply with fitness-to-drive requirements (including alcohol use, rest policies, and medication guidelines)
  • Arrive at appointments on time
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain high health and safety standards
  • Operate in compliance with all road rules and regulations
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed, verified, and returned
  • Deliver goods to various multi-drop locations

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of driving experience, ideally 12 months with a Class 2 (C+E) HGV/LGV licence
  • Qualifications:
    • Valid Class 2 Driving Licence (C+E)
    • Fully completed Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
    • Valid Digital Tachograph Card (essential)
  • Preferences:
    • Prior refrigerated (exporter) vehicle experience (not essential)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Flexibility in schedule and shift times
    • Strong logistical and geographical knowledge
    • Outstanding communication skills
    • Multi-drop delivery experience (preferred)
    • Adaptability and problem-solving mindset
    • Commitment to a strong work ethic
  • Availability:
    • Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required
    • Ability to travel across Extreme London Boroughs
