Class 2 Driver (Dray)
We are excited to announce that we are now recruiting for a Class 2 Driver (Dray) to join the logistics team, here at JW Lees.
Requirements
- Class 2 driving licence
- Up to date drivers CPC and Tacho card
Responsibilities
All duties are to be undertaken in accordance with the relevant legislation i.e. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Report to transport office prior to your designated start time.
- Daily Vehicle Checks for any defects.
- Any defects found – the relevant paperwork must be completed.
- With the assistance of dray mate proceed to load temperature sensitive cask products onto the vehicle in a safe and orderly manner for the next day’s deliveries.
- Safe unloading of full products at delivery points.
- Ensure all deliveries are handled in a professional manner, to reduce breakages
- Safe loading of empties from deliveries.
- Administration of paperwork – signatures on delivery notes, copies issued to customers etc.
- Ensuring the load is safe before going to next delivery.
- Returning to Brewery after run complete, unload vehicle of empties at designated areas.
- Report to Transport Office to ascertain if other tasks are outstanding.
- Assist other departments as and when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness with oneself and vehicle.
- Maintain Drivers Hours rules and regulations with regard to Tachographs/Working Time directive etc.
- Maintain high levels of customer service, aiming to exceed customer expectations at all times.
- Attend relevant training courses that will assist with your current role.
