Class 2 Driver
Experienced Class 2 Driver – Store to Home Deliveries (Hartcliffe, Bristol)
Do you thrive behind the wheel and take pride in delivering top-notch service? We’re looking for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to bring B&Q products to life at customers’ doorsteps with a company that puts people first.
About the Role
We partnered with B&Q to create a seamless Store to Home delivery experience. As a full-time permanent Class 2 Driver, you’ll be specialising in multidrop deliveries from our Hartcliffe, Bristol (BS13 7TJ) hub, under the umbrella of GXO, a global leader in supply chain innovation.
Attractive shift pattern: ✔ Full-time, permanent role (40 hours per week) ✔ Rotating two-week schedule: Week 1: Monday–Friday (11:00 start) Week 2: Sunday–Thursday (11:00 start)

Responsibilities
Your typical day includes but is not limited to:
- Efficient deliveries:
- Multi-drop customer home deliveries (average 16/24 drops per day, peak/off-peak)
- Load vehicles securely, ensuring correct unit disbursement and completeness
- Digital compliance & record-keeping:
- Accurate entry of working hours via Tachomaster system
- Compliance with WTD (Working Time Directive) and lawful driving standards
- Vehicle safety & operation:
- Conduct all carriage in line with company safety protocols
- Perform routine vehicle checks and adhering to road traffic regulations
- Customer service excellence:
- Deploy a polite, courteous, and efficient approach when communicating deliveries (verbal/written)
- Provide estimated delivery times while troubleshooting issues promptly
Requirements
- Experience & licence:
- Strong preference for candidates with prior class 2 HGV multidrop experience
- Full UK driving licence with valid Category C1, C1+E, C1+E depot or equivalent entitlement
- No more than 6 penalty points on licence
- No DR/DD/DG/BA/CD/AC/LC or TT endorsements
- Technical compliance:
- Valid Driver CPC (up to standard) + ** valid digital tachograph card**
- Personality & suitability:
- Exceptional written & verbal customer service skills for clear signposting
- Willingness to undergo:
- Pre-employment Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS check)
- Health & fitness declaration if required
- Work commitments:
- Willing to commute to Hartcliffe, Bristol (BS13 7TJ) for your set shift pattern
- Compliance with 12-hour working day limit (9-hour driving limit) per legislation
