SALARY
- Up to £38k with performance bonuses
Key Responsibilities Our drivers play a critical role in Palletforce Logistics, ensuring the reliable and safe delivery of products to our customers. Core duties include:
- Uploading accurate information via a handheld terminal
- Driving 3.5t vehicles during peak operational periods
- Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the work vehicle
- Operating a Class 2 vehicle with full adherence to safety protocols
- Conducting sight checks and pre-trip safety inspections
- Reporting delays or technical issues to the transport office in good time
- Upholding speed, rest periods, and adherence to legal driving limits (considering alcohol/medication impact)
- Ensuring punctuality at drop-off locations
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Following all Health & Safety guidelines
- Operating legally, compliant with all road traffic regulations
- Ensuring all paperwork (load logs, route sheets) is completed and submitted accurately
- Completing efficient multi-drop deliveries over varied locations

Ideal Candidate Requirements
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- Recommended: Refridgeration experience (non-essential)
- Minimum: 6 months (preferably 12 months) operational experience in LGV/HGV Class 2 vehicles.
- Essential:
- Valid Digital Tachograph card (required for all UK drivers)
- Full and completed Driver CPC training certificate
- HGV Class 2 Licence (C+E) with fully acquired entitlements
- Willingness and ability to:
- Work weekends.
- Adapt to flexible start/finish times.
- Engage with multi-drop deliveries.
- Strong logistical knowledge of London/South-East road networks.
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) for customer forecasts and requests.
- Strong work ethic with a keen attention to detail.
