Location: West Thurrock, RM20 3LB Working Hours: Average of 48 hours per week, with start times varying (no earlier than 4:30 AM) Salary: £44,088 with overtime paid at 1.5× salary

About the Role: Class 2 Driver

As a Class 2 Driver with Carlsberg Britvic, you’ll form a dray crew with a Driver’s Mate, visiting multiple sites daily to deliver stock while interacting with customers. This role plays a critical part in our logistics success—ensuring seamless distribution while maintaining safety, punctuality, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving Operations:

    • Operate lorries up to 26 tonnes, delivering beer and soft drinks to customers nationwide.
    • Ensure on-time deliveries using deep knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns.
  • Team Collaboration & Customer Relations:

    • Work closely with Driver’s Mates and warehouse teams for loading/unloading stock.
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a brand ambassador for Carlsberg Britvic.
    • Represent our company professionally, reflecting our culture of brilliance and integrity.

  • Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Prioritise health and safety at all times—both in driving and manual handling tasks.
    • Maintain a high standard of operational efficiency in a dynamic working environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Have: ✅ Valid Class 2 Driver’s Licence with a current CPC Drivers Card. ✅ Up-to-date knowledge of the Highway Code and driving safety regulations. ✅ Strong customer service orientation and willingness to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Desirable (Training Provided): 🔹 Manual handling experience/training (full training available as part of induction). 🔹 Familiarity with logistics operations or familiarity with delivery routes in West Thurrock/Essex area.
