Experienced HGV Class 2 Driver – Store to Home – New Malden

About the Role
Here at GXO, we’re driving partnerships with B&Q and are looking for highly experienced Class 2 Drivers to join our Store to Home team in New Malden (KT3 4PT).
This is a full-time, permanent role, operating on a two-week rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: Monday to Friday, starting at 11:00
- Week 2: Sunday to Thursday, starting at 11:00
The role is contracted to 40 hours per week.

As a Class 2 Driver, you’ll receive:
- An hourly rate of £18.40 (equivalent to an annual salary of £38,272.00)
- Overtime pay of £27.60/hour (applied over 40 hours)

Your Responsibilities
On a typical day, you’ll look after the following:
- Deliver products to customer premises (room of choice) on a multidrop basis (~16 drops/day off-peak, ~24 drops/day in peak season)
- Maintain accurate driving/working time records using Tachomaster and manual entries (compliant with WTD regulations)
- Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
- Ensure accurate product checks, correct deliveries, and proper handover of documentation
- Keep customers updated on estimated delivery times, resolving issues professionally and politely
Requirements
To excel at GXO, you’ll need:
- Previous experience in multidrop or store deliveries (preferable, though not essential)
- Full UK driving licence with C1/C category entitlement
- No more than 6 penalty points (must not include DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC, or TT endorsements)
- Validity of CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph
- Strong customer service skills (both written and verbal)
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment DBS Check
- Ability to commute to New Malden (KT3 4PT) for assigned shifts
