Class 2 (Cat C) Driver – Store to Home Delivery (Permanent)
About the Role
Are you a skilled Class 2 Driver searching for a reliable, long-term role? If you enjoy being out on the road and delivering exceptional service, we’d love to hear from you!
Here at GXO, partnered with B&Q, we’re looking for a highly experienced Class 2 Driver to join our Store to Home team in New Craighall, Edinburgh (EH15 3HS).
You’ll work on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: Monday to Friday
- Week 2: Sunday to Thursday Start time: 07:00 Hours: 40 per week (with overtime pay applicable).

As a Class 2 Driver, you’ll receive:
- £14.70 per hour (equivalent to an annual salary of £30,576)
- Overtime pay of £22.05 per hour (paid over 40 hours)

Responsibilities
On a typical day, you’ll:
- Deliver products to customer premises (multi-floor, if applicable), averaging:
- 16 drops per day (off-peak)
- 24 drops per day (peak season)
- Maintain accurate driving/working time records using Tachomaster and manual entries (compliant with WTD regulations)
- Operate company vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently
- Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and customers receive the correct items + delivery documentation
- Provide detailed arrival estimates and handle delays/customer queries professionally
Requirements
To succeed at GXO, you’ll need:
- Previous experience in multi-drop deliveries (preferable, but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence with Category C entitlement
- No more than 6 penalty points (no endorsements: DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC, TT)
- Up-to-date CPC certification and Digital Tachograph
- Outstanding customer service skills (written and verbal)
- Willingness to undergo DBS confirmation
- Ability to commute to New Craighall, Edinburgh (EH15 3HS) for the given shift pattern
