Class 2 Driver
Class 2 HGV Driver (Refuse/Recycling Collection) – Atherstone
Job Summary To drive a heavy goods vehicle (HGV), typically undertaking refuse or recycling collections, and adhere to the organisation’s procedures for load delivery. Tasks also include:
- Performing routine vehicle maintenance
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of yourself and others

Experience & Skills Needed
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence (required)
- A UK licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points (elicited eligibility)
- Strong knowledge of safe working practices
- Ability to:
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance
- Identify mechanical faults requiring specialist attention
- Proven organisation skills with ability to:
- Plan tasks effectively
- Meet strict deadlines

Earnings & Contract
- Hourly rate: £14.82 (waged position)
- Schedule: Typically 6:30 AM start, with average daily hours of 7–8 hours per shift
