Class 2 Driver
Class 2 (Cat C) Multi-Drop Driver – Hovis Dagenham
At Hovis, we are the proud guardians of over 130 years of baking experience. We create iconic and much-loved bread and bakery products, delivering around 1.3 million loaves daily across the UK and Ireland. Our 2,800 colleagues are experts in baking, manufacturing, logistics, and engineering, operating from 8 bakeries, 1 flour mill, and 2 distribution centres. Shift: Rotating – start times range from 11:30 PM to 03:30 AM
Hours: Average of 12 hours per shift
The Role
We’re recruiting Class 2 (Cat C) multi-drop drivers based at our Dagenham depot. Your role will involve:
- Delivering bakery products to supermarkets and retail sites
- Completing 20–25 multi-drop deliveries per night
- Hands-on loading/unloading using tail lifts and cages

Responsibilities
- Drive a Class 2 vehicle on planned routes
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries with efficiency
- Load/unload products safely using tail lifts and cages
- Conduct vehicle checks and record required paperwork
- Adhere to drivers’ hours and tachograph rules for compliance
Requirements
To succeed, you’ll need:
- Full UK Class C (Cat C) Licence
- Valid CPC (Driver CPC) and Digital Tacho Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (exclusions apply for DD/DR)
- Previous Class 2 or multi-drop experience desirable but not essential
- Dependable and physically fit to handle the demands of the role
