Typical Responsibilities
- Driving: Operate Class 2 vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all relevant traffic regulations and company policies.
- Delivery Planning: Efficiently plan and organize delivery schedules, considering time constraints, traffic conditions, and delivery priorities.
- Load Management: Ensure that all goods are loaded securely and appropriately, taking into account weight distribution and vehicle capacity.
- Documentation: Complete all required paperwork accurately, including delivery notes, logbooks, and any other relevant documentation.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly. Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including professional interaction with clients and efficient handling of goods.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the transport team, warehouse staff, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth operations.
- Adherence to Regulations: Stay informed about and adhere to all relevant transportation regulations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Working Away: Regularly work away from home Monday to Thursday, adhering to the company's policies and allowances provided.
