Class 2 Driver – Milton Keynes Site | Mick George Group
Join our expanding team at Mick George Group as a Class 2 Skip Driver in our Milton Keynes site. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in a thriving, supportive business.
About the Role
We’re recruiting Class 2 Drivers to support our growth. As a Skip Driver, you’ll collect and deliver skips to businesses and residential areas within an hour of our site. This role offers a rewarding career path within a successful, forward-thinking business.

- Starting wage: £15.40 per hour (up to £41,000 annually based on 50-hour weeks)
- Annual bonus potential: Up to £2,600+, based on performance and attendance
Working Hours & Flexibility
- Mon-Fri: 6am–6pm (starting time varies between 6–7am)
- Occasional Saturdays: 6am–1pm
- Average hours: 50 hrs/week (overtime opportunities available)
- Pay options: Fortnightly or monthly

Key Responsibilities
- Transport skips to/from businesses, residential areas, waste transfer stations, and depots
- Load/unload skips using hydraulics, ensuring safe and correct positioning
- Conduct pre/post-shift vehicle checks and report any defects
- Comply with road safety laws, Highway Code, and Directive requirements (e.g., Drivers’ Hours & Working Time Directive)
- Ensure secure load compliance with safety and weight regulations
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and deliver excellent customer service
- Drive efficiently with strong geographical knowledge
- Support team with ad-hoc duties as needed
Requirements
Essential
- Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Driver CPC (Driver Qualification Card)
