Location: Lambeth (near Kennington)

Contract: Full-time Long-Term

Salary: MPS / UPS (Inner London)

Year Group: Year 5

Class Teacher: Inspire, Challenge and Achieve

An ambitious primary school in Lambeth is looking to recruit a talented Class Teacher to join its Upper Key Stage 2 team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Class Teacher who is committed to raising standards while creating a positive and engaging learning environment. The school has a strong reputation for academic achievement, inclusive practice, and staff development, with collaborative planning and high-quality CPD embedded across the school.

The successful Class Teacher will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, supporting pupils as they prepare for the demands of their final year of primary education.

The Role

As a Class Teacher, You Will

  • Deliver ambitious, well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Challenge pupils through engaging and differentiated teaching
  • Foster resilience, independence, and a love of learning
  • Track progress using formative and summative assessment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure excellent outcomes

The Ideal Candidate

The School Is Seeking a Class Teacher Who

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management
  • Has high expectations for pupil progress and attainment
  • Is reflective, organised, and committed to continuous professional development
