About the Role
We are seeking a Class Teacher to join our team at Woodlands School, as part of our satellite provision based at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Esher.

Woodlands School, part of Bourne Education Trust, is an outstanding special school based in Leatherhead, Surrey. Our educational approach focuses on preparation for life, with communication and literacy at the heart of everything we do—promoting independence, community inclusion, and a curiosity about the world.
Our satellite provision in Esher caters for autistic pupils and those with learning difficulties, offering them a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where they can thrive. Details
Job title: Class Teacher (multiple roles due to expansion)
Location: Based at Woodlands satellite site, Cranmere Primary School, Esher, Surrey, with occasional travel across East Surrey and to Woodlands School (Leatherhead).

Contract: Permanent, full-time, and part-time positions
Start date: September 2026
Salary: Teachers Main to Upper Pay Scale (Fringe) £34,398 – £52,490
Responsible to: Headteacher

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of pupils, preparing and developing:
- Teaching materials
- Programmes
- Pastoral arrangements
- Be accountable for the attainment, progress, and outcomes of all pupils in your class/es, with effective planning to help pupils meet their potential.
- Understand pupils’ capabilities, planning effectively to meet the needs of those with Special Educational Needs.
- Collaborate with the SENCo to:
- Prepare, implement, monitor, and review SEN Support Arrangements
- Contribute meaningfully to decision-making

Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated awareness, understanding, and commitment to safeguarding children
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
- Evidence of effective continuous professional development
