We are seeking a Class Teacher to join our team at West Ewell Primary School and Nursery, part of Bourne Education Trust.
About West Ewell Primary School And Nursery
West Ewell Primary School and Nursery is a caring and inclusive community school in West Ewell, Epsom. We pride ourselves on exceptional teaching standards and fostering ambition, self-belief, and a love of learning in our pupils.
Located in a vibrant area with extensive grounds, including a newly refurbished library, the school offers engaging learning experiences. It features a specialist centre for Communication and Interaction Needs (COIN) and a nursery for young children.
The school prioritises staff and pupil wellbeing, having achieved the Schools Mental Health Silver Award. As part of the Bourne Education Trust (BET), a successful multi-academy trust comprising twenty-four schools across Surrey, Hampshire, and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, we collaborate with other schools to enhance educational offerings.

Salary: Teachers’ Main - Upper Pay Scale (Fringe - Surrey: £34,398 - £52,490)

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the individuals and classes you teach, preparing and developing teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate
- Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of all pupils within your class/es, planning effectively to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential
- Be aware of pupils’ capabilities, planning effectively to meet the needs of pupils with special educational needs and work in collaboration with the SENCo to make an appropriate contribution to and participate in the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of SEN support arrangements

Essential Requirements Include:
- Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
- Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development
