Sacred Heart Primary School (SIPS)

An exciting opportunity for an Exceptional Early Years Lead to combine high-quality classroom practice with EYFS leadership responsibility. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the day-to-day management, organization, and development of our Nursery provision, while contributing strategically to the wider EYFS phase.

About Sacred Heart Primary School

Sacred Heart Primary School is a two form-entry primary school in Tipton for children from 3 to 11 years of age.

Our vision is to develop young people who will have active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, cultural, and physical. We are a richly diverse community, and pride ourselves on our highly inclusive practice, endorsed by achieving the Sandwell Inclusion Quality Mark for the second time at the highest level (Enhanced level).

About the Role

Our Governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational, passionate, and highly motivated teacher – EYFS Lead who is committed to their own professional development and raising standards within the school to join our dedicated and supportive team.

We are looking to appoint someone who:

  • Is an excellent class teacher with particular experience in leading EYFS
  • Has high expectations of themselves and learners
  • Works successfully as part of a team
  • Has a great knowledge of the curriculum and the Early Years Assessment Framework
  • (Not essential) Read Write Inc trained
  • Lead and support EYFS staff to secure consistently high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Build strong partnerships with staff, families, and external professionals to support all children, including those with SEND

Job Details

  • Position: Full-time Class Teacher with additional TLR 2A
  • Type: Permanent from January 2027
  • Location: Sacred Heart Primary School, Sedgley Road East, Tipton, DY4 8UH
  • Grade: Teachers Main Pay to Upper Pay Range £32,916 - £51,048 p.a. Plus TLR2a - £3,527

Requirements

  • An enhanced DBS clearance, safeguarding checks, and satisfactory references are required for this role.
  • This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check, including a Children's Barring List Check. If you are barred from working with children, you are breaking the law if you apply for this post.
  • This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016), and therefore, the ability to speak English is an essential requirement for this role.
  • Pre-employment checks will be carried out in line with KCSIE.
