Classroom Teacher (SEND) Fixed term (to July 2027)

Salary: MPS/UPS + 1-2 SEN Points depending on qualifications/experience

Contract term: Fixed term – to July 2027

Starting: asap – subject to recruitment checks

Haughton School is a Primary Special School for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs.

We wish to appoint an experienced teacher on a fixed term basis, from September 2026 to July 2027. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with children with SEND preferably with Primary aged children.

We need you to:

  • Be an exemplary teacher with knowledge and experience of moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
  • Have a nurturing approach whilst setting high standards of expectation for learning and behaviour.
  • Be of resilient character with a can-do attitude.
  • Have detailed knowledge and experience in the delivery of a flexible, engaging curriculum including a work/reward approach.
  • Be a committed advocate for inclusive practice.
  • Be a team player committed to working in partnership with all stakeholders.
  • Have a desire and driving force to make a difference.
