Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a highly advanced engineering and manufacturing company specialising in precision-built high technology systems.
This role will involve assembling complex mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies within a cleanroom environment, carrying out specialist wiring, testing, quality control activities, and supporting new products moving into production.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical assembly experience who enjoys working within a precision engineering or high-tech manufacturing environment.
Working Hours
- Full-time permanent position
- Flexible shifts within opening hours Monday to Thursday
- Early finish on Fridays
- No weekend work

Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering Level 3 qualification
- HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering preferred
- Time-served apprenticeship or QBE candidates will also be considered
Essential Requirements
Candidates will only be considered if they meet all essential requirements below:
- Previous mechanical assembly experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience working within a high technology manufacturing or cleanroom environment
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience assembling mechanical and electrical components
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work to deadlines and production timescales
- Organised, punctual, and reliable approach

Desirable Requirements
- Experience working with UHV compatible devices or instrumentation
- Understanding of electron optics or ion optics principles
- Experience within low-volume customised manufacturing
- Experience with specialist wiring and product testing procedures
