Clean Team Member

Clean Team Member – Nuffield Health Wimbledon (FWC)

Permanent | Part-Time (32 hours per week) | London, SW19 | £27,248 pro rata


About the Role

As the UK’s leading Healthcare Charity, Nuffield Health is committed to delivering the highest standards of customer service. As a Clean Team Member at our Fitness & Wellbeing Club in Wimbledon, your role is crucial in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and a pleasant environment for our customers.

You’ll work independently with support from a Team Leader to ensure your cleaning duties never disrupt the customer experience. Our team uses the latest cleaning equipment and products, along with a dedicated training programme to support your development.

This role is ideal for someone who has a friendly, proactive, and well-organised approach to customer-facing work.


Responsibilities

As a Clean Team Member, your key duties include:

  • Preparing and cleaning a range of areas within the club, including:
    • Gym floors, equipment, and recovery spaces
    • Changing rooms, shower areas, and poolside zones
    • Public-facing reception and waiting areas
  • Safe use of equipment, including:
    • Scrubber dryers
    • Rotary machines
    • Carpet cleaners and vacuuming systems
  • Daily maintenance, including:
    • Bin collections and waste removal
    • Touch-up cleaning to ensure consistency
  • Periodic deep cleaning tasks as scheduled
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Adapting your approach to meet changing club demands

Requirements

Ideal Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning, hospitality, or customer service role (not always required, but desirable)
  • Attention to detail – you take pride in thorough and visible work
  • Strong organisation – ability to balance multiple tasks efficiently
  • Friendly communication – engaging with both colleagues and customers professionally and warmly
  • Physical fitness – the role involves climbing, bending, and lifting
  • Safeguarding awareness – adherence to child and vulnerable adult safeguarding policies

Commitment

  • Must be available to work part-time (32 hours per week)
  • Willingness to adapt to rotating shifts (e.g., early mornings, evenings, weekends)
  • Must conform to a smoking polices, robust security checks, and travel restrictions (if applicable)
