About The Role
Pay Details: Grade 1 SPC 3 £25,949 Pro Rata £13.45 Per Hour
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday. 3.30 - 6pm
- Term time 12.5 hrs/week (39 weeks).
- Recess 2.5 hrs/week (1 day).
Main Place of Work: Barry Island Primary

Description:
- To assist in providing an effective cleaning service to building cleaning clients
- To cover other cleaners during periods of holidays, sickness, staff shortages, and other absences.
- To occasionally assist the chargehand / Site Supervisor with the training of cleaning staff.
- To undertake all aspects of cleaning tasks such as; carpet cleaning and steam cleaning, all site specification cleaning, builders cleans, recess cleaning, and other cleaning not normally stated in the site specification.
About You
You will need:
- Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry or a cleaning related discipline/environment
- Basic understanding of the various cleaning tasks required to provide an efficient and effective premises Cleaning Service
- Good verbal communication skills and the ability to converse with members of the public and client officers.
- Be physically able to carry out manual and active labouring duties.
- Must be able to work on own initiative and undertake duties in an effective manner
- Positive and self-motivated with the ability to be flexible and responsive to changes in priorities and demands.
- Be prepared to work irregular hours.
- Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate
