Location: The Cornish Seal Sanctuary, Gweek, Cornwall, TR12 6UG

Hours

Guaranteed hours are 5 per week. Typically, the role will be worked across two days, from 9:00am to 4:00pm during the summer period. During off-peak periods, hours will change to approximately 11:00am to 2:00/3:00pm. There will also be an expectation to provide cover for the other cleaner between Thursday and Monday when they are on annual leave.

We're on the lookout for a Part-Time Cleaner to ensure the delivery of great standards of cleanliness and to help make our amazing Cornish Seal Sanctuary sparkle!

Do you have an eye for perfection? Come and join our cleaning team and be part of the magic! Help us ensure our sanctuary is always looking presentable and clean for our guests daily, making sure we provide outstanding service to customers and meet the highest of standards in cleanliness and presentation.

In this role it will be your responsibility to ensure that the attraction is litter free, clean, hygienic, and presentable for guests. In addition to all attraction spaces, you’ll clean staff areas and the visitor and staff toilets. As you’ll be out and about in the attraction, you’ll also have contact with our guests so you’ll be answering questions and doing all you can to help our visitors have an amazing experience.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be 18 and over.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 18 years of age or older due to the nature of the role
  • Someone who works to a high standard and has great attention to detail
  • Comfortable handling cleaning products and chemicals (training is provided)
  • Cleaning experience is preferable but not essential
  • Willingness to work outdoors is required
  • Able to work independently and use initiative
  • Have a friendly personality
  • Confident in talking to our guests
