International Students House (ISH) is a vibrant charity and student residence based in central London, supporting students from around the world through accommodation, scholarships and a welcoming community.
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cleaner to join our Housekeeping team at our modern Kennington Lane residence. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly, supportive team dedicated to providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents.
Occasionally, you may also be asked to work at our Great Portland Street residence near Regent's Park.
About The Role
As a Cleaner, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the residence. Your duties will include:

- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, communal areas and outdoor spaces.
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
- Making beds and changing bedding where required.
- Replenishing toiletries and other consumables.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely.
- Dusting, wiping and polishing furniture and fixtures.
- Reporting maintenance issues and lost property.
- Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in line with COSHH regulations.
- Helping to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our residents.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous cleaning experience in a hotel, student accommodation, residential or similar environment.
- Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.
- Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Is physically able to carry out manual cleaning duties, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
- Has good verbal communication skills and is comfortable reporting issues to supervisors.
- Understands the importance of health, safety and hygiene procedures.
