Cleaner Vacancy – OCS UK & Ireland
About the Role
Working Arrangement: This position will be based on-site, working full-time (schedule TBC).
As a Cleaner, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our OCS sites are clean, safe, and welcoming for clients, colleagues, and visitors. You’ll uphold high standards of cleaning, hygiene, and professionalism in line with company specifications, health & safety regulations, and our core values.
This role involves performing day-to-day cleaning duties to keep all assigned areas immaculate while delivering a customer-focused and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general cleaning tasks, including:
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces
- Emptying waste and replenishing consumables (e.g., toilet paper, hand towels, soap)
- Cleaning welfare areas, offices, corridors, and washrooms to required standards
- Adhering to health & safety, COSHH, and cleaning procedures
- Safely operating cleaning equipment and materials
- Reporting maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to supervisors
- Completing tasks efficiently within agreed deadlines
- Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with clients, colleagues, and visitors
- Supporting site-specific cleaning requirements as directed

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo a DBS check
- Experience in cleaning in commercial, public sector, or similar environments (desirable but not essential)
- Good understanding of cleaning methods, equipment, and materials
- Awareness of health & safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Attention to detail with a commitment to high standards
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
- Effective instruction-following and procedural compliance
Desirable Skills
- Experience in Facilities Management or contracted cleaning services
- Knowledge of COSHH or safe chemical handling (training provided)
