ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a caring and motivated residential housekeeping partner to help create a warm, clean, and homely environment for residents at Kalkarni. This role is hands‑on and people‑focused, supporting residents in their daily routines and contributing to their comfort, wellbeing, and sense of belonging.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining clean, tidy, and safe household spaces
  • Completing laundry tasks with care and attention
  • Encouraging residents to participate in everyday household activities
  • Supporting resident choice, independence, and dignity
  • Assisting with moving furniture, bins, and other items
  • Following infection control, food safety, and WHS procedures
  • Reporting any concerns about resident wellbeing to care staff

This role suits someone who enjoys physical work, values connection, and takes pride in creating a welcoming home environment.

ABOUT YOU

You bring warmth, reliability, and a genuine desire to support older people. You also have:

  • Experience with cleaning, laundry, and safe chemical use
  • Experience working with food safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
  • Good time management and the ability to manage a physical workload
  • A friendly, respectful approach and commitment to person‑centred care
  • Understanding of WHS and infection control principles
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities
