Part Time Cleaner – Defence
Company: Compass Group UK & Ireland (ESS Division)
We’re currently recruiting a part-time Cleaner (30 hours per week) to join our cleaning and facilities teams, supporting Defence, Government, and Energy clients. As part of our trusted workforce, you’ll help ensure our military establishments, secure environments, and high-profile sites remain safe, hygienic, and customer-focused—delivering the best experiences for those who rely on our services.
About the Role
You’ll provide cleanliness solutions across a variety of environments, from UK military bases and police facilities to energy sector platforms, drilling rigs, and offices. With flexible shift patterns (typically 5 out of 7 days), you’ll be the foundation of our commitment to excellence, ensuring spaces are spotless, well-maintained, and welcoming for everyone who uses them.
Key Responsibilities
Your role may include (but is not limited to):
- Maintaining clean and sanitised environments by working alongside the cleaning and facilities team, adhering to high hygiene standards for clients and customers.
- Daily deep-cleaning tasks, such as:
- Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming to a high standard.
- Wiping down surface areas, windows, and high-touchpoints.
- Identifying and addressing spillage, stains, or emerging dirt quickly.
- Waste management, including emptying, disposing of, and replacing bin liners and waste containers.
- Stock control, monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies to minimise disruptions.
- Adapting to challenges: Performing additional tasks as needed (e.g., minor facade cleaning, equipment adjustments, or protocol changes).
