About the Role/Team:
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people, who have a keen eye for detail and take pride in their work and who enjoy cleaning in a variety of areas to join our team of cleaners at the Medical School.
Main duties will include:
- Cleaning a wide range of areas/spaces and providing general and specialised cleaning within the building (laboratories, doctor/nurses rooms, classrooms/meeting rooms, carpeted areas, refuse disposal, toilets/bathrooms, changing areas, corridors, stairwells etc)
- Providing excellent customer service at all times, working either independently or as a part of a team
This position entails providing both planned and reactive cleaning service across the building and supporting the local cleaning team covering holidays, sickness, deep cleaning, any urgent requests/inquiries assigned by the Line Manager.
Previous cleaning experience within similar environment and ability to work independently and as part of a team are desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

The role can be physically demanding but lifting aids and full training will be provided.

Hours of Work:
- 15 hours per week, 4 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Thursday & Friday working between 6.00-9.30am and Saturday & Sunday working between 6-10am)
- Flexibility will be required
This position is offered on a permanent basis working on a rolling contract 52-weeks of the year basis to include student vacation periods and will attract 15% pay uplift allowance for any hours worked at the weekend.

Successful candidates will be expected to attend induction training courses which will run each month, Monday to Friday on University Park Campus. Further details will be given at interview.
