#Cleaner – Nursery Support Role
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Hours: 10 per week (10am–12am Mon–Fri, 2 hours each evening)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking cleaner who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for young children.
Your role will involve completing evening clean shifts (10am–12am Mon–Fri over 10 hours) to ensure our nursery is spotless for the following day, prioritising the health, wellbeing, and safety of both children and staff.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning duties:
- Nursery rooms, play areas, and shared spaces
- Emptying bins and maintaining tidy learning environments
- Surface sanitation:
- Wiping and disinfecting surfaces (tables, toys, touchpoints, and kitchen areas)
- Cleaning toilets, nappy changing stations, and children’s changing areas
- Stock and maintenance:
- Replenishing supplies in toilets/nursery rooms
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Safety and operations:
- Storing cleaning products securely
- Reporting low stock, maintenance issues, or concerns to management immediately

Requirements & Skills
- Attention to detail: Must meet high hygiene standards
- Independence: Capable of working unsupervised, following cleaning protocols precisely
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience, particularly in nurseries/ schools, is strongly preferred
- Attitude: Friendly, trustworthy, and strongly committed to safeguarding
