Cleaner
Cleaner (Saturday & Sunday) – The Cove, Morecambe
About The Role
Work Schedule: This position is based at The Cove, Morecambe, working Saturdays and Sundays (12:30 PM – 6 PM).
As a Cleaner, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients, colleagues, and visitors across OCS sites. You will deliver high standards of cleaning and hygiene, adhering to company specifications, health & safety requirements, and our core values.
This role involves daily cleaning activities, ensuring all assigned areas maintain a high standard while providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including:
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces
- Emptying waste
- Clean welfare areas, offices, corridors, washrooms, and other designated spaces per required standards
- Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels, and soap
- Strictly follow all health & safety, COSHH, and cleaning procedures
- Safely and correctly use cleaning equipment and materials
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to the relevant supervisor
- Work efficiently within agreed timescales
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with customers, clients, and colleagues
- Support site-specific cleaning tasks as directed by your manager

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Right to Work in the UK and willingness to undergo a DBS check
- Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, public sector, or similar environment (desirable but not essential)
- A good working knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and materials
- Awareness of health & safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures effectively
Desirable (Training Provided for COSHH & Chemicals)
- Experience in Facilities Management (FM) or contracted cleaning services
- Familiarity with COSHH or safe use of cleaning chemicals
