Cleaner/Housekeeper – Fixed Term Cleaning Role

We’re excited to offer a Cleaner/Housekeeper opportunity for a fixed-term contract within our Barnsley Schools Account, covering scheduled MAT leave.
Salary & Hours
- £13.45 per hour
- 25 hours per week, split across two shifts:
- AM Shift: 05:00 AM – 07:30 AM
- PM Shift: 02:00 PM – 04:30 PM
About the Role
Join Amey, a leading provider of estate and facilities management services, working with Barnsley Schools’ Private Finance Initiative across 11 schools. Your role will ensure clean, safe, and compliant learning environments while supporting local and business zero-carbon initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality cleaning services to contractual standards
- Ordering and managing inventory of consumables
- Operating cleaning machinery safely following guidelines
- Upholding Health & Safety (H&S) standards
- Supporting zero-carbon programmes via sustainable practices
