Cleaner – Fixed Term Contract Opportunity at Penistone Grammar School
Location: Huddersfield Road, Penistone, Sheffield S36 7BX | Employment Type: Fixed term contract | Hours: 25 hours per week (split shifts)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Cleaner for a fixed term contract to support our Barnsley Schools Account, covering MAT leave at Penistone Grammar School.
Our cleaning services play a critical role in maintaining high-quality, safe, and compliant learning environments. You will partner with Amey to deliver outstanding facilities services across all schools in the trust.
Salary & Schedule
- Salary: £13.45 per hour
- Hours: 25 hours per week, with split shifts Monday–Friday
- AM shift: 5:00 AM – 7:30 AM
- PM shift: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
What You Will Do
As a Cleaner with Amey, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing adherence to contractual cleaning standards for schools
- Managing stock levels of cleaning supplies, ordering stock as required
- Operating cleaning equipment safely per guidelines and training provided
- Ensuring our highest service standards to support teaching staff and students
- Supporting Amey’s zero-carbon programmes, contributing to future sustainability initiatives where appropriate
- Ensuring health and safety standards are consistently met across all contractual sites
