Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced Hygiene Manager / Cleaning & Sanitation Manager to be based at our Kitt Green site in Wigan. To be successful in this role you must have experience working in either the Food industry.

Key Components of the role

Responsible for leading the implementation of Heinz Sanitation Programme throughout the Manufacturing Plant. Management of the Technical liaison between Factory, Headquarters, Chemical Supplier and any Third Party Sanitation Provider. Drive improvements to improve compliance to Heinz Quality Management System & Heinz Sanitation Programme within the Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS). Provide Leadership and training for Production personnel to complete production line and facility sanitation as required by Master Sanitation Schedule, Daily Sanitation Schedule, Sanitation Operator Work Instructions, Production Schedules and Maintenance Schedules. Ensure efficient use of labour, chemicals, tools and equipment to ensure cleaning meets the requirements of the Heinz Sanitation Programme. Ensure compliance to Food Safety and Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Safety Programmes. Ensure Continuous Improvement for the Sanitation Programme at factory level. Identify and introduce new technology/ methodology/ process improvements to improve cleaning effectiveness, reduce planned downtime whilst supporting our ESG strategy.

Degree educated, ideally in Microbiology or sciences. Other degrees will be considered with significant experience in hygiene. Experience within food industry or similar high risk environment Minimum Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, ability to talk to and involve personnel at all levels Demonstrated ability to problem solve, report information/findings, develops recommendations and implement changes. Strong leadership with proven ability to gain strong results through a team. Self-starter with drive and initiative to meet and exceed demanding objectives.

A degree of flexibility with working hours will be required to best support the site. This will include supporting the cleaning activity on a Friday afternoon and the factory start-up on a Monday.
