Fife Cleaning Services, formed in 2017 and incorporating Pressed for Time Cleaning Services, brings over 20 years of experience in domestic and commercial cleaning. Based in Dunfermline, the company serves clients across West Fife, South Queensferry, Ratho, and Edinburgh North. Services range from one-off spring cleans to regular weekly, fortnightly, or monthly visits, tailored to individual needs and budgets. Clients benefit from friendly, professional, and efficient staff, a secure key holding service, and the assurance of having the same cleaners visit their home each time. The company is committed to high standards, customer satisfaction, and creating clean, comfortable, and relaxing homes.

Role Description

The Cleaning Assistant role is a part-time, on-site position based in Dunfermline. The Cleaning Assistant will carry out domestic cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, and general tidying in clients’ homes.

  • Travel to client locations within the service area
  • Manage secure key access responsibly

Qualifications

  • Strong practical cleaning abilities, including experience with domestic cleaning tasks, safe use of cleaning products, and attention to detail
  • Good time management and organizational skills to follow schedules, meet agreed timings, and work efficiently without constant supervision
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and professional attitude, including respect for client homes, confidentiality, and responsible handling of keys
  • Effective communication skills to interact courteously with clients and colleagues and to report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping in domestic or commercial settings is beneficial
  • Flexibility to work varied part-time hours and travel within the local service area
  • A valid driver’s license and access to transport are advantageous but not essential
