Role Description

This full-time Cleaning Manager role is an on-site position based in Cardiff. The Cleaning Manager will oversee daily cleaning operations, ensuring agreed standards, schedules, and health and safety requirements are consistently met.

  • Managing and motivating cleaning teams
  • Allocating tasks
  • Monitoring performance
  • Conducting regular inspections of the premises
  • Liaising with clients
  • Responding to issues or service requests
  • Maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Completing necessary reporting and documentation

The role also involves working closely with senior management to implement best practices, support training, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cleaning or facilities management, ideally in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong people management skills, including team leadership, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards, cleaning procedures, and use of cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic IT tools for reporting, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Ability to work on-site in Cardiff and adapt to operational needs, including occasional flexible hours.
  • Relevant industry certifications or training in cleaning, health and safety, or facilities management are an advantage.
