Cleaning Operative
Cleaner – Evening Shift (Part-Time) at ABM, MTC Ansty

Shift Pattern
- Primary Hours: Monday–Friday, 15:00–19:00
- Flexibility: Occasionally worked 6:00–10:00 PM for Events
- Weekly Hours: 20 hours per week
Pay Rate
£13.00 per hour

About the Role & Purpose
We are seeking a **reliable and hardworking **Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients at our facility. The role requires occasional shift flexibility, particularly during university events.
Key Responsibilities
Core Cleaning Duties
- General cleaning of office and communal areas, including:
- Desks, floors, kitchens, and restrooms
- Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces
- Waste disposal in line with site procedures
- Stocking and replenishing consumables (soap, paper towels, etc.)
- Safe use and storage of cleaning equipment
Health & Safety
- Comply with COSHH regulations and workplace safety procedures
- Promptly report any hazards or maintenance issues

Event Support
- Assist with additional cleaning duties during events on rotating basis
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
✅ Previous experience in a cleaning role (preferably commercial environments) ✅ Good knowledge of cleaning products and proper cleaning procedures ✅ Understanding of COSHH regulations ✅ Awareness of Health & Safety protocols ✅ Ability to work independently with strong time management ✅ Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work ✅ Attention to detail ✅ Ability to adapt to changing priorities (e.g., event demands)
Location Requirement
- Must have a reliable transport method (public transport options are limited for evening shifts).
Desirable (non-essential) Attributes
🔹 Experience in high-traffic or event cleaning environments 🔹 Knowledge of infection control procedures 🔹 Familiarity with professional cleaning equipment
